i was wondering if anyone else noticed any problems with their leather ss seats..... in particular, it looks to me like the front lower seats need a little more cushion on the side bolsters..... that or either the leather is a little bit to big.
if you're not careful(i am, but not passengers:mad: ) and you dont seat yourself nice and centered, the leather on the lower seat bolsters(particularly the outer) likes to crease or fold. i was thinking of adding some padding myself to the lower seat cushions, to help tighten up the leather.
i dread going to the dealer:no: .

Actually my passenger side did the same thing. One of my buddies is a big guy and he created the fold. Once it heated back up it tighten up, but it's weird that this would even happen. I definately don't want to go to the dealer...especially since they'll wait for a seat rep to come and check it out...

so i'm not the only one.
its a pet peeve of mine, of people sliding on the edge of my seats when getting out or sitting on the side bolsters wrong. .... i want my seats to look good and not get worn out..... but i think part of the problem is the seat actually.
i have replaced leather seat covers before in my other truck. i might tackle this job and try and stuff some more padding under the leather cover, or see if i can pull the seat cover a little tighter.
i dont want my lower seat covers all wrinkly and folded.
anybody ever remove a trailblazer seat cover before?

Wow, I thought I was crazy. I noticed the same thing, especially on my passenger side. I would describe it as the outer lower bolster leather looks like it is too big for the seat, almost loose fitting. I wonder how well the leather will hold up?

The same thing happened to me on Friday night.

Maybe thats why they dont have TBSS available with the leather seats now. I ordered one 2 months ago and had to settle for the LS version because GM had some issues with the supplier for the leather seats.

Wow, seems to be the consensus here. I had the same thing happen. The side bolsters do seem to be a little flimsy.

Definately need to firm up the bolsters. Coming from my SSS to the TBSS I noticed 3 things:
-seats are much smaller (not a surprise)
-the suede is nice to hold you in place on hard corners
-the "bolsters" are non-existant. Without the suede you'd be in trouble.

I have the same problem, both sides, Despite trying to center myself between the bolsters, they are creasing and wrinkling. Let me know if you have any success fixing this issue.

I found a great way to fix this irritating problem with the seats. Take your Trailvoy to a storage unit, or garage at home and park it, and never drive it. :D

The SS seats were one thing I wasn't too impressed with so I just bought cloth knowing I'd swap them out.
a little off topic i know, but I'd actually like to see if GTO seats would fit otherwise I'm going to have to go with a set of Recaros, Cobras or Corbeaus.

Good luck getting a reputable shop to install aftermarket seats. The fact that the seat belt retractor is integrated into the seat means that any shop that wants to stay in business won't touch the TBSS with a 10-foot pole. As soon as you pull out the stock seat, you lose DOT certification. Any shop worth its salt isn't going to touch it.
If the seat belt retractor was on the B-pillar (like it is on most other vehicles), there would be no issue. But the fact it is in the seat itself changes things completely. Believe me, I've checked this out.

Upon further review...
As well as my before-mentioned issues with the front-back alignment, I do notice a problem with the seat bottom and seat back not lining up. I can't pinpoint exactly what it is, but I *think* the bottom might be slightly listing to the right, and/or the back slightly listing to the left. Combined I do feel my back always resting against the right side back bolster. I'm not uncomfortable and it hasn't seemed to cause me any pain, but I have yet to go on a long drive yet.

We just got our Superior Blue LT SS and we have a very small number of creases on the entry/exit point of the drivers seat at 221 miles. I am 6'5 and weigh 320 and there hasn't been a car I have ridden in that has seats that wear well for me. Its a trade off to upgrade to leather and have "broken in" seats or to have the tacky looking cloth seats that wear like an iron skillet
