Have to share this story with the group. Approaching a red light at a 2 lane highway last summer in Central Jersey (noted for cops on the prowl), an out of state Mustang is taking aim for the kill. As we rev at the light, I am planning on letting him win this duel as I have my 10 year old with me. (not to mention the local police boys). Green light, he guns it and I eat his dust. You guessed it sirens go off and my buddy is pulled over as I cruise by at 35. Master card moment at its best. Love the TBSS!!! :dielaugh:

I love it when the spidey senses are hitting on all 8 cylinders.

I clicked this thinking I was going to read a story making me jealous of the LS2... instead, I read something that made me glad I'm not an idiot like that Mustang driver!

I would have raced him. If and when I got pulled over would have used the line, "but officer, he lost...shouldn't he be getting the ticket?"

Right on, but what if someone else has a 10 year old in their vehicle in the area? Or for that matter an even younger kid or... even no kid at all just adults who like to live life not as a cripple?

I think one of my favorite SS moment really isnt a story about racing someone its about my license plate (SUVVETT). I pulled up at a gas station one night and I got out of the SS and this guy in a Camaro SS thought he was a true bad ass and shouted over at me and started talking sh*t and make a long storty short. He said how can you call that suv a vette. So I had to school him and tell him that it has an LS2 under the hood and it was a Trailblazer. Then he said well thats what I got to under my hood and looked at me in disbelieve. Then he proceeded to say he didnt know the Chevrolet made a SS Trailblazer. As I was getting into my SS he said nice ride and gave me a thumbs up. It goes to prove that some Chevy guys dont even know what we have under the hood. That guy was such an a**hole.

He probably bought it used for like 10K and had to have his mom co-sign for it 'cuz he wanted a SS Camaro. Not even appreciating what it's all about. Hehe. Well who knows really what his deal was but it's fun to dis him because he such a shucker.
