I'm in the military and have to leave my Envoy sit for 3 months this summer in a parking lot in New York. I'm looking to buy a car cover to add protection along with the other precautions I'm taking. Anyone have recommendations on brands they have used? And any recommendations on precautions to take before leaving it set all summer would be appreciated. Thanks.

When storing your car, I would make sure you wash/wax it just before putting on the cover, also make sure you have a fresh oil change and a full tank of gas with stabilizer added. You might want to disconnect your battery as well.
Fill your tires to the maximum posted on the sidewall (overinflate) to prevent flat spots, and plug your tailpipe with a tennis ball or something similar to prevent rodents from getting in the exhaust to build a home. Place a couple dessicant packs (silica gel) inside the vehicle to prevent any moisture from building up and causing mold/mildew (you probably will want to detail the interior before you seal it up too).
For a car cover, I've heard good things about covercraft's stuff. Will this be out in the elements the whole time? Make sure you get a cover built to protect you from the specific weather conditions in the area. Here's a link to the various ones, with descriptions and specifications:

I cant suggest anything to do to your car, but someone else can help with that. I have an 02 TB and it sits outside with a custom WOLF automotive cover that cost me around $200 with shipping and a lock. I ordered it last February, of 2004, and it is still good today and blocks most of the UV rays as well as it is almost waterproof so the TB doesnt get wet. I cant remember where I got it, just google it and you can probably get a good one.
