Well, this morning we traded in our 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee for a used 2007 Chevrolet TrailBlazer SS in Summit White. Matches out Summit White Envoy Denali perfectly. I'd wanted an SS for some time, and I'm really lucky to have come across a local one that had all the options I wanted, right down to the color. Even some mods are done to it that I wanted!

Now to get a second job to afford the mod fever that I'll be getting soon :p

Thanks you guys, so far I'm really loving it. Worth every penny!

congrats man!! what mods were done to it?

The GM badge on the front doors was removed, the TrailBlazer badge on the liftgate was removed, and on all three SS badges, they used those liquidome things or whatever it is, to fill it in white to match the car. Looks great! Only problem I have with it is they added the stupid vanity plate. Its held on by plastic pop type things (can't think of a way to describe them), not sure how big the holes are for them, kinda scared to try to take it off.

Sometime in the spring I'd like to add a cold air intake to bring the horse power up to 400 flat (I hope), new Chevrolet bowties on the front and rear, and some other minor things. For now, I'ma enjoy this baby as she is!

I'll get some pics hopefully tomorrow... Need to get new pics of the Envoy too.

Congrats on the TB SS. Great find when you get the color you want and options on a used vehicle.

As of now, there is no cure for mod fever. The only relief is to spend more money for the next mod.

Love the White color. Here is an SS that has been somewhat of an inspiration to me. :hail:

Bill, that is one sweet SS. I can see the resemblance with your Denali.

Need to get that vanity plate off. Its held on by some sort of plastic push pin things. Anyone wanna help me out by telling me how it comes off? I just don't wanna mess anything up.

I wanna do either a chrome bowtie, or a white bowtie white chrome outline. Not sure. Orrrr, chrome bowtie with white "SS" lettering on it.

Oh, the possibilities :D

Need to get that vanity plate off. Its held on by some sort of plastic push pin things. Anyone wanna help me out by telling me how it comes off? I just don't wanna mess anything up.

The plastic plate bracket is held on by "crappy push pins" as I like to call them. If you look at them closely, you'll see the head of the small round pin that when pushed in, will slightly open up the piece in the hole - its what holds the pin in the bumper hole. You just need to take a flat-head screwdriver and pry the head until it pops out, then you can pull the whole push pin out. I've since replaced the pins with some stainless steel drywall anchors that hold the bracket much more securely than the plastic pins ever did.

You will need to cover up the holes that the dealer drilled in the bumper to mount the plate bracket. Go to http://www.bumperplugs.com, they have virtually any color to match your SS. I think Apline White should match well. I would take off the bracket on my SS, but living in Cali requires a front plate, so I guess I have to live with it.

Good luck and Congrats on the new SS!!! I've had mine for about 4 months now, and I absolutely love it!
