I have an '06 TBSS...was considering trading it in for an '07 model. Besides the rear wiper and the child seat restraint hooks in the trunk, what are the other differences?
Thanks!

If you get leather, suede inserts in the rear for the 07'

Oh, 08's have 4 less ponies and standard side curtain airbags. Don't know if the side airbags are standard on 07'

One thing to consider, you'll get a 100K mile powertrain warranty with the 07.

Probaby 2007 had some upgrades on certain recalls that happened on 2006.

I was considering it becuase my '06 has 18,000 miles...the warranty is basically halfway done. Plus like someone in this thread already noted, the newer '07 should have some of the recall issues from the '06 model resolved.

Still a fat waste. Look up extended warranties and get one of those if you are so concerned. The recall items were small stuff like the back license plate seal leaking and the bumper supports to fix the shakey fog lights.
You're gonna take a hit both on the fat depreciation already on your truck, even more so if you trade it in, and then again on the depreciation on the new truck. It's a huge waste of money, especially considering how little is different in between the two trucks.

Keep the 06, add the extended warranty and mod the hell outta her. The 07's are a bit slower because of the torque management anyways. I don't think it's really worth it. Save that money and put it towards modding the 06..

2nd that ^^
When my '08 gets older, (paid off) I'll modd it up till it hurts!!
If I had an '06 or even an '07,......same thing, I modd it to death, (or is that, To Life!?)
.
thats all.......:m2:....:coffee.......

08's have 100K mile powertrain warranty also. And don't be so sure all the kinks are worked out. You'd like to hope so.

I agree...plus you'll be paying taxes on the new truck too. It's your money, do what your want, but hardly seems worth it...your truck ONLY has 18,000 miles. Unless it's a big lemon or was wrecked, I'd save the $$...spend it on an extended warranty and mods....or just mods and screw the warranty (would be void anyway due to serious mods).

There are refinements made to the 2007 that you can notice.
The computer is different. (06 is the e-40.)
It looks to have the charging system cut out system via the sensor on the battery cable.
Rear wiper different.
Hold downs on the front floor mat.
Camshaft is different 3 vs 1 bolt and different chain, sprockets and tensioner.
Onstar turn by turn directions are available in 2007 over the 2006 "Onstar ask Billy-Bob how to get there and try and remember or play it back 10x." The directions and connections package is like 50% cheaper than the 2006.
GM Lan system is different so your Sirius SIR-GM1 works with some 2006, but you need SIR-GM3 for the 2007 that is not yet available.
Spare tire is a Good Year 2006 / Michelin 2007.
Mod of Electric fan control system is different due to the computer and varies by vendor.
2007 is not a first year production. (Bugs true or not...)
Opinion:
SOTP TM is noticeable and audible (like an engine cut out) on shifts. Also no Slip bang 1-2 shifts.
The engine throttle is more predictable at all times than the 2006.
The 07 ride may be softer? - but this is cloth seats 06 vs leather 07.
If you don't have rear end noise while turning or a howl going down the road you will likely get this in the 07.
