Hey, any of you guys that own an 03 Envoy Denalli, or perhaps even an 04 or 05, does the gauges come with a blue backlighting as opposed to the white backlighting? I was reading online an article that said that they did and since I am to change the backlighting on my 05 tb to blue I am trying to find out what type of options I have to choose from on this endever.

No such thing as an '03-04 Envoy Denali. The '05 is the first year of them, and the gauge cluster is the same as all Envoys. White backlighting. :)

I haven't looked at the type of backlighting that is used when I had my dash apart before so please bear with me, but do they use a set of led's mounted on a circuit board to provide the lighting or do they use bulbs? If they are bulbs then I would assume that they are 194's, but I would bet on the led's connected to a circuit card though. Now, if they are using the circuit card then would it be possible to take one from a Sierra Denali or a Yukon Denali and use it?

I think they're using LEDs, but I am not sure. If it's LEDs on a circuit board, though, you could probably just buy some different colored LEDs with the same power/output specs and solder them in the place of the white ones. Like I said though, I don't know for sure what is used behind there.

I am not sure if this will help, but if they are LED's you can get little colored covers to make them whatever color you want. I am not saying it will work in a TB, because i never looked. Before i had my TB i had a honda civic and a company called NR guages http://www.nrauto.com/ hooked me up with the slip on covers to change my back lit numbers becuase they were blending in with the front lit guage faces i bought from them.
