If you increase your rim size and tires do you need to replace your rotors and calipers?

Only if you want to. Having 22's makes your rotors look pretty small. If you want to, you can get some slotted / crossdrilled rotors and some new pads for cheap off ebay.

  Rotors look like little saucers. Actually, the increased weight of the new tire/wheel combo vs. your OEM will dictate if you need more brakes. If a lot of weight difference, you will notice immediately the need for longer time to brake.

How much is too much weight? Is there a formula to calculate the difference or just a feel in the pedal? I just want to do it right the first time. This could be expensive... I do appreciate your help out there. Thank you

Don't know of a formula, but weigh the OEM tire/wheel. Then weigh the tire/wheel combo you are thinking of buying. If the new ones are more than 10# each you probably will wish for new or better brakes :m2:

FYI, one of my 22s with the tire mounted (265/40/22) weighs right around 75-80lbs.
