I have a black 04 STi (wingless) with powdercoated BBS wheels, lowjack, extended FULL warranty (transferrable), $2500 sound system (focal speakers, JL W3 sub, Alpine head unit, 2 JL amps, professionally installed), I reaplaced all the pink sti emblems with gold ones to match the calipers, 51k miles on the car and I am looking to trade it for an AWD SS. I LOVE this STi but I need a vehicle that can tow.

The STi consistantly gets 26-28 mpg when you are easy on it and is a BLAST to drive. Its bone stock performance wise and has been well maintained. I JUST bought it not too long ago but my bronco (tow vehicle) just blew up so I need something else that can tow.

I am looking to trade straight up or with cash, whatever. Just let me know what you have.

Here are some pics of my car. Sorry they are dirty (colorado winter).
PS, I removed the lower front facia for winter because the car is really low and I dont want to damage it, but I have both sides obviously to put back on after winter.

please email me at mailscripts_ejones@yahoo.com or call me at 970-980-4692 if you are interested. Im willing to throw some cash out as well for the right truck. All offers are considered, I just need an AWD SS that I can use to tow a boat.

Thanks guys!

I saw another trade thread so I figured this was the right spot to put it:confused:

Welcome. Are you looking to trade it with someone here or at a dealer? If you are looking to trade here, you will have to get 10 posts before you can post in the classifieds section.

I always appreciated the STI's more than any other 4 on the market... Evo's and STI's, both hot in my book. Can't get past that horrible fart sound though...

Good luck w/ gettin a TBSS though. We'll convert a 4 driver anytime we can:D

this is the first import out of 12 cars that Ive owned. I love it actually but Id just like to trade it at a dealer or private party for an AWD SS that can tow a boat and possibly a car trailer.

Wouldn't a subforum for the classifieds be better? So members can ask questions and the seller post a reply that would be open for everyone to see instead of having to answer the same question over and over via PM. Just a thought

Just so you know, as far as driveability and fun, you will be kicking yourself forever.

You'll love the power, but the transmission will disappoint you tremendously.
I had a wingless 2005 I just traded for a 2007, which is now wingless.
I did that when I saw the 2008.

I understand the boat thing, I've got a Yamaha 230 HO and the TBSS is more that what's required for that boat.

I will not give up my STI. My wife drives the TB and it's a great vehicle.
Just know this, you will dearly miss your STI, there simply is no comparison.

If I was stuck driving the TB, I would immediately do the exhaust, vector tune, and lower it. Even then, the transmission kills the fun for me.

what did you decide?
:coffee

we're looking at getting another TBSS, maybe last year for it and you gotta love the warranty
We've looked at many other vehicles, the TBSS is just head and shoulders above anything at the price (Faster than a Cayenne GTS!!@)

pry my Sti out of my cold dead hands

I didnt even know that you could get an STi minus the wing.
Either way those are super fun cars. It is still in the top 5 quickest 0-30mph production cars ever manufactured.

This is exactly what I thought about that heinous top fuel dragster wing. When I was shopping for my audi s4, I took a long hard look at the STi. It drives great, but some of the interior and exterior was a bit over the top for my tastes (the exhaust also follows this theme).

However, for the price it was hard to pass up.

traded the 05 sti for an 07
traded the 06 ss for an 08

both of them, end of an era
I'm glad it came back around
