My sincere and deepest apologies to the black TBSS and white TBSS going southbound on I-35 by 185th in Lakeville. I was headed northbound around 3pm today and noticed both of you had extremely clean trucks. The fact that mine was looking like it has never been washed, made me very sad. Strange to see a TBSS out, much less two, that were super clean. I believe my SS is white somewhere underneath the layers of salt, road grime, axel grease, more salt (blue/green colored), and small animals. Hopefully I can get mine cleaned up soon.
Anybody here on the boards?

Did you give them the finger or did you drive by them, spraying them with slush? :D

More snow tonight, so hopefully the local suburbs get out tonight to lay down at least an inch of salt.

I know, got to love how they presalt. I like when they do that then it doesn't snow, it's like driving around on a dirt road :duh: Is your SS your daily driver ?

Yes, daily driver. I justified the fantastic gas mileage by the fact I only drive 20 mile roundtrip for work everyday. Most of it from red light to red light. I've noticed too that not only is the salting rediculous (actually gets washborded like gravel), but the seems in the roads are brutal. I wonder how much salt runoff makes it into the Minnesota River Valley wetlands from Burnsville?

It's funny that you mention the topic of road salt run-off...I see where you're coming from, really...I relate the NY State Thruway (I-90) and the state barge canal (Erie Canal) running parallel for way over 100 miles and at many points, directly contacting and crossing each other...Man, imagine the amount of salt that gets into that body of water!!! Some of my fishing buddies call it "Ocean fishing",saltwater Erie canal style, in the spring!!!

I am pretty much embarrassed to show my TBSS to anyone right now simply because of how freakin dirty it is. Not only is the outside covered in a layer of salt, brine, beet juice(apparantly salt crews are using this too), and mud. In case anyone is wondering, the RSA's do really bad on a mud covered road. My interior floormats are also full of mud as well right now.............
