Whats the cheapest way to get my AWD SS into the 12 sec. qtr mile range? Just bought it a couple weeks ago and want to run 12's by summer. Ordered Magnaflow catback and getting K&N cold air intake. Plan on: Headers, programmer, and NOS if neccessary. Will this get me there?

Whatever you do, plan on a tranny rebuild if you intend to hit 12's. We have a heavy truck to run that fast and not have something break.

Get a GOOD tune , a 3400 or 3600 stall converter ( RPM/Precision 10.5" Multi Disc stall converter ), efans, 1-3/4" headers LT's,160 degree thermostat , UD pulley ,Use a water Wetter agent in your radiator coolant
( this will combat heatsoak) and you are there . The magnaflow system will be a bonus ! The CAI is not that big of a HP gainer. You do not need NOS if you do these mods !
You would need some descent air !
I would atleast do servos in your stock trans and a trans cooler !
You will be in the 12.80's to 12.90's ...There are plenty of guy's on this forum and the other forums that have the slips to prove it.

Tune, efans and a torque converter will get you there or very close for the least amount of money

Thanks for the help. Already have Magnaflow cat-back, which was a noticable power increase, and K&N CAI. I'm checking w/ Vector because I think I might already have the tune. Stall converter is next.
Anyone have a good deal on a 3200 or 3400 stall converter?
