This is the second time this has happened now....I'm traveling at about 60, and I decide to punch it...all the way. The motor winds up, and all of a sudden the gas pedal goes dead...like the governor is kicking in....but I thought the governor was set for 120 or something...it feels like it's kicking in at 75. Am I missing something? The tires aren't losing their grip, so I don't see how it could be the TCS or StabiliTrak. :ugh:

if you continue to hold the pedel does it eventually get up and go or it just drops out and thats it?

I don't know, I haven't tried it...once the pedal goes dead, I get off of it. I'll have to try to recreate the situation, and I'll report the results! Whatever it is, it's weird.

Could it be the rev limiter?

Yeah, the pedal is just a kind of rheostat that varies the current to the circuit that operates the throttle body butterfly. Its probably got a dead spot in it. I hate it and miss the direct linkage, but it works with all the other electronics to run the engine and eliminates the throttle position sensor on the throttle body.
