Westers tune... About $500. Do a search for it

Going with the Westers will give you the most increase in performance unless you get a turbo/supercharger and have that custom fabbed. Also, there are a lot of intake available for the TB 4.2L I6, I think between 6-8 if I recall.

Programming: Jet Chip, Westers

Intakes: K&N, Airaid, Volant, Custom

Headers: HEDMAN (in about 20 years), custom

Exhaust: Bassani, JBA, Borla, Custom

Spark Plugs: Denso, NGK, Split fire

Thats about it really, best thing to do is buy yourself a turbo, something that'll give you 150bhp extra, small intercooler, custom make tubing to and from intercooler, use the same manifold but custom make the Turbo flange on it, custom downpipe, speak to westers if they could custom map an ecu for better Air/Fuel ratio, bigger injectors, custom make an oil feed line for the turbo and bada bing bada boom, u have a turboed inline 6!

TORBO, that's the ticket. And another ticket, and another, etc. I know if I had a turbo I would have to use it.:duh:

Where can I find a good price on the K&N and/or Volant intake? I' m used to being able to go to a dozen or so vendors selling parts specifically for what I need. I' m not used to the hide and seek stuff. ;)

If you looking for performance out of this motor, go with Nitrous and a westers tune. Nitrous is the best bank for the buck for our vehicles.

When i bought my K&N, I Googled K&N Cold Air Intake and came up with a half dozen sites. Visit each one and find who has the best price/shipping combo. I think I got mine for $225 and free shipping.

no matter what you find it for...e-mail another company and ask if they will beat the price. Might save you a few more bucks that way. All the bigger companies do price matches.

I have the True Flow intake and I love it. I also modded the airbox and added a grille screen like the SS has (only bigger). I get a lot of air in there now.

Just curious as to how a STS setup might work with the TB...

Ive wondered the same thing, thats the turbo setup that mounts in the rear right?

Yes it is the turbo setup that mounts in the rear. Squires currently doesnt offer a system for any of the GMT-360's, but they do offer them for the full size GMT-800's (Tahoe, Silverado, etc). On those trucks they offer a good gain without the addition of an intercooler. A Silverado with a 5.3 with this turbo setup and 6 psi of boost made 324 Rear Wheel HP and 373 Rear Wheel lb. This is a 45% and 48% increase, which would make a substancial difference. Here is the website, it has some neat clips and sound bits.

I know you're talking about the 5.3, but...

What's peculiar is that they have what they call a "Universal Kit" which is something that intrigues me. I just emailed them asking about the 4.2 I-6, so we'll see what they come up with.

Cant wait to hear back on that, do they have a kit for the Colorado/Canyon/H3s? If so, the I5 is the baby of the I6 we have, so a kit shouldnt be that hard to adapt especially with the newfound tuning options we are getting soon.

But, those gains are impressive, if they are reasonably priced for a pretty much custom kit, I might be in.:undecided

One thing that would scare the heck out of me w/ the rear-mount turbo kits is the mile of hose, fittings and hose clamps for the oil supply :undecided . One leak on the fly & not only do you cook the turbo bearings, but you starve the engine!:x It would still be awesome for a non-daily driver!
