I'm taking a roadtrip from houston to the west side of Texas with some of my GTO friends and was wondering if any of you Texans would like your ECM/TCM's tuned while I'm down there? The only for sure Location would be Houston/Baytown area this coming Saturday. If any of you would like to take advantage of this, please post or PM me so we can get you setup with the details! Thanks!

Chris

Not in Texas myself, but curious if you will be coming to Florida for the GTO meet at Bradenton Motorsports Park this upcoming weekend?

Will you be there Friday? I could drive to Baytown if you're there Friday. If not I may be able to get it done if it's early Saturday morning.

That's not gonna work. I'll be at work by then. It would have to be anytime Friday or early Sat. It's a four hour drive to Baytown from here. Oh well. I guess I'll have to keep waiting.. :( Chris PM me a contact number, I just thought of something.

Hello Fellow Blazers:

My name is Jeff, and needless to say I am very satisfied with my white TBSS(purchased December 12, 2005..what a great christmas present) I'll post some pics. I do have a question concerning the vector tune. How does the transmission shift now? Firm? To firm? Not firm enough? I often frequented the svt f150 forums, and they often had extensive debates about what approach is the best approach in order to achieve firmer shifts: electronically(raising fluid pressures) or mechanically(shift kits.. valve body..etc etc) Those who favored "mechanically" often said raising line pressures "electronically" would induce premature wear on the transmission clutch bands. Well, at this point, I really dont care...man.. I want that tune!!! Hope to hear from you soon Chris.

Hey RedSS..you from the DFW area too?

Chris,

Do you have any plans for being in Florida in the near future where you will be able to do the tune. I have an AWD SS and would like to get it but can not afford to be without my vehicle.

You could always buy a second ECU/TCU and keep the OEM for whatever. That way you would always have a backup.

Chris,

Thanks for the posting and I'm sorry I missed the availability this time around. Quick question, how many miles do you recommend on the TBSS before doing this? We've only got something like 1,400 miles on it right now, so if we need to wait, that's OK, too.

thanks,
goodfinder :)

I'm actually in San Antonio right now, if you still want to get in PM me ASAFP. We've had people as low as 100 miles put this tune in thier trucks, how long you wait is completely up to you. I recommend at least 500 miles personally but again, its your dime :)
