Deep pan or not

How can I tell if I have a shallow or deep pan on my 04 trailblazer transmission?

Measure it.
2 1/8" is shallow
2 7/8" is deep

Or just look at it...if it has a "step down" it is deep, if it is flat all across, shallow.
