Welcome! Read through some of the other threads on the site, I know there are a few threads on 4.2L performance. There aren't a wide variety of mods available at present, aside from intake kits, exhaust kits, throttle-body spacers, and the like.

Yeah, not much aftermarket for the I-6. As far as I know...

JET sells a chip (dont know if they help  )
Quite a few Intakes
Throttle body spacers (dont know if they help  )
and
Borla has an exhaust system

Theres also a couple turbo systems BUT i would be a little declined to use one of these because i dont know if it would damage the engine or transmission.

Welcome to the site! There isn't many mods for the I6 but I can tell you it has more than the V-8.

Mods that actually increase the performance of the 4.2L I-6 are few. Till someone gets inside of the PCM and tunes it so there is less torque management and retarded timing the 4.2L will continue to be a slug.

Hey, with my 02 TB I would install a turbo if I had the cash to do so, which I probably wont for a while, because my engine falls under the engine cylinder recall so it will eventually replaced, but untill then, vroom, vroom!! Haha, I know if the turbo caused the engine to die then GM probably wouldnt replace it, but I can dream! It still has a pretty good pickup compared to my old 96 Jimmy. Tows a lot better also. OK, there is my :m2:
