I have an 06 Envoy XL Denali with 50k mile on it. It is not starting have had to the the dealer twice first the cleaned some stuff and put a new battery in it, second they replaced the PCM. Now we are having severe problems with the dealership and are in the middle of a litigations with GM and our lawyer. But I need to get this fixed really bad. Here are my symptoms.
1. Put key in try to start it and nothing, will not start no click or anything, but all gauges, radio and lights work but you are unable to take it out of park.
2. Jumped the relay and it turns the engine over but will not start, even with the key turn to the on position.
3. Took apart the center console and checked the safety switch and it is working.

Yesterday it went like 15 hours with out starting and then all of the sudden did. I do not have the problem with the key getting stuck in the ignition. I am going how to work on this. I would really appreciate any help, as my wife has appointments she needs to take my son too and I am going on a business trip.

Has your ignition switch been replaced? It can cause all sorts of problems, including no start! It's a fairly common thing to hear about around here!

Also Welcome to Trailvoy! There are a lot of good people here. I think you will like it!

Problem sounds EXACTLY like my 05 TB SWB with the same symptoms - and it was the ignition switch that needed replaced. I would bet dollars to donuts that is your problem.

Especially the inability to get the thing out of Park - that sounds like the ignition switch. They had to drag my TB out of my garage backwards with the tow truck to get the thing to the dealer!

Does it cranking? If yes, check the fuse/relay for the fuel injections. Check the fuel injections and fuel filter too.

Hopefully he will come back to tell us what the problem was. I'd bet a paycheck on the ignition switch....
