Just curious to see if anyone else has an issue like this:

A few times now, when I get in and start the truck, the security light remains on and none of the door controls work(windows, door locks, seat warmers) on either side, driver or passenger. If I drive it, get out, and come back later, everything works fine!I am trying to avoid the dealer at all costs, at least for a while, so I keep hoping it doesnt happen again. Antone else having this issue?

I havent had anything like that happen. Sounds like a harness is loose. have you tried wiggling the harnesses under the dash then try the switches?

All 2006's are subject to this problem at this time. It happens when the Drivers and Passenger side door modules wake up at the exact same time and the data collision causes an error that pulls the class 2 bus high and bumps all the cabin modules off the bus. This is a known issue that they are testing calibrations for at this time, no clue on an actual release date though.

I was just talkin to Bean counter about this....seems he was having the same issue, with no resolution or idea of the problem from the dealers end. You say they are aware of it?

Yup service operations is VERY aware of the problem and has some beta fixes being tested right now.

Tony think of it this way, two people on the phone trying to have a conversation without the other one ever stopping to listen to what the other side has to say, just incessant talking hehe gets a little jarbled eh? :)
