This is what I see after each fill up lately; dealer says the sending unit is going bad. What's weird is that after a couple of days the gas gauge and DIC return to normal operation and stay that way until I fill up again. Anybody else putting up with this?

I would get it fixed as long as it's still under Warranty...That would get on my nerves.....

either the sending unit is bad- or you have a case of sulfur buildup on the unit,
thissulfur buildup causes erratic readings and thus an erratic fuel gauge.
the unit is unable to read the resistance and so you get the wrong reading.
you can try running a bottle or 2 of techron. Make sure the bottle says it cleans sulfur buildup.
If your gas gauge does not work normal again- then youll have to replace.
Some have had success in getting it to work again

I'll try the techron treatment and see what happens, thanks.

:iagree: 100%

If you wait and have to pay for it yourself, it's $3-400.....take it from someone who knows.

Luckily, I had an extended warranty at the time.

I've got Major Guard coverage w/$100 deductible till 75k; guess I'll be at the dealer if the bottle treatment don't fix it. I noticed another thread with this same issue, has GM put out a bad part that they should issue a recall on?

good point- if its under warranty- get it replaced.
the trechron wont hurt either---- it will clean the fuel system and injectors.

Actually you are not alone.....I am having the same problem, along with other warning lights flashing in the cluster.

Why don't we all get together and file a calss action lawsuit...?
There too busy to recall it while they are having parties and flyin around in jets w/stripper poles in them.
