You know the little pitted marks that get all over the windshield that come from big rigs and such, almost like being sandblasted? Is there a way to work on those to make them less noticable, or is it a lost cause, and time for a new windshield?

Depends how serious the pits are. I have a couple chips in mine that are making me lean toward a new windshield. However, you could always try some glass polish to reduce how noticeable they are. My personal favorite is the Zaino Z12 ClearView Glass Polish, though there are other brands such as AutoGlym out there as well. :m2:

I would also highly recommend putting a bug/rock shield on the front of the hood. The deflector has actually seemed to make a difference, I am not noticing as many new pits as I was getting before I installed it.

My question was actually for my car. No issues with the TB yet, and I do have a bug shield on it (I always make the dealer throw it in on the deal for all my new trucks).

The car just has a bunch of those little specmarks that are annoying in direct sunshine. I was wondering what kind of products were out there.

Griot's Garage also has a Glass Polish. Any experience with that one?

Actually that griots stuff is probably really similar to some of the other polishes on the market. I've found that the majority of their stuff, even their detail chemicals, are just re-packaged or re-branded items sold cheaper elsewhere. :m2:
