Has anyone took a stock SS and only installed a Magnacharger with a tune and left everything else stock. My question is what 1/4 speeds and ET's have been run..................................Thanks, LWP

I guarantee that is not all that is involved. Plus you may as well figure on a tranny rebuild right away.. You may hit low 13's put it will have to be tweaked to do any better.

Thanks for the compliment but dom and some others are quicker. As far as the question goes it depends first of all if it's 2wd or awd. I believe the truck dom is talking about is 2wd, so correct me dom if I'm wrong. Magnacharger has a few variations for our truck so results will vary. I have the original MP112 (slower), and the latest is the 112HH (faster). I can tell you from experience that my awd with supercharger, tune, stock pulley, and built trans went 13.31 @ 102 mph in the summer, and 13.16 in cold weather. For the money invested it wasn't good enough, so this last winter I added a stall converter, headers, hi-flo cats, 2.8 pulley, fuel pump booster, NGK plugs, Thundervolt wires, and re-tuned with HP Tuners. Probably will run 12.8-13.0 in the heat of the summer, and maybe 12.2-12.4 in cold air with good DA. Meth injection would help the summer heat issue. Then for giggles I recently threw in 101 octane race fuel and added 5 degrees of timing (across the entire rpm range), and the truck loves it. :D Can't wait to see what she'll do at the track. Last November I went 12.68 @ 106.6 without the headers, plugs, wires and fuel pump booster. Bottom line is I think it could have been faster with less money without the blower, but I'm not whining...the truck is.

I like the look of the Maggie but not the cost....I was thinking hard regarding the install but from what I read here the 1/4 time seems to fall short when you compare the dollar amount and the horepower gains....I guess if it was in a 2WD unit vs an allwd unit may help.....I have the allwd unit......looks like I'll have to think about some other mods when the time comes,,,that and some cash,,,,,,,,,,,,
