When i stop from a decent speed like 35-45mph i hear a rubbin noise coming from the front drivers side. If i am going slower then it doesnt happen. It doesnt seem to come from the passenger side. kinda like metal on metal but my brakes dont squeek like when they are worn out. This morning when I drove to work I noticed that I had to press a little harder on my brakes to stop. uhmm :undecided  It sounds like the wheel is vibrating but I dont feel it on the pedals, wheels or inside at all like when the rotors are wraped. :undecided any ideas guys this one has me stumped? I dont want to take it in to the dealer cause its my only ride.

It could have alot to do with your wheels.
How much do those Chrome Plated Steel 22's weigh, including tires ? Are they Hub-Centric ? Do you notice any vibrations at higher speeds ( above 50 mph ) ?
You're putting alot more stress on the brakes. When I put 20's on my Blazer ( 75 pounds each wheel ), the braking totally changed and I hear a simular groan from the brakes if I dont ease on the pedal.
Im not sure that the dealer would be the best place to go .. if it is your brakes, about the only thing you can do is 1. switch back to the aluminum factory wheels, 2. buy bigger brakes, or 3. start slowing down sooner and ease on the brake pedal.

i was thinking the wheels too but I have had those on for months now. I am going to get my brakes checked today and see what they tell me.

after i hit a curb about a month ago i have had a rubbing noied on the front right. the dealer replaced the steering rack (free) and said they there were lots of complaints about the noies taht that made and that was the problem. not entierley. i still haev a rubbing but ONLY when im 40+mph around a corner. the dealer can't find the problem because they only test drive it on teh straight as an arrow highway in front of them. so i guess im stuck like this and ill have to put up with it. o well

They are probably going to tell you to get your breaks replaced. It is almost like a liability thing, they don't want to send you away then something happens and it could fall back on them for saying that they were okay.:m2:
