Mine just recently started but I haven't read n e were yet like mine I have noticed that when I turn the ignition over that some of the dash lights are on but very faint and they flicker only when turning the key over. But other than that pretty much just keep turning off and back on and eventually it starts. Is this the part of the ignition switch that i need?

If the dash lights go dim it sounds like your battery is weak. Better check the terminals and the grounding and make sure you have a good charge circuit going on. :undecided

I Just got my 06 LT two months ago and just had the ignition switch go out yesterday! I hope this isn't a sign of things to come. Griff, did you change your switch out yourself? I was looking on here for a step by step instructions page with some pics, but didn't find any. Sure would be good to know how to change these since it leaves you stranded if it goes out. I would just keep a spare switch in the truck if i could change it myself.

I did not change the switch because I am visiting my parents and they do not have any tools here, but it does not seem to be too hard.

Here is a link to a thread that has info on how to replace it. The best information is a couple of posts down. I did not find a sticky but if you go to the forum home page and do a search: replace ignition switch, you will get many hits. I think before you start the job fish around in there and read up on what people are saying.
