TBSS...then TahoeSS?

Any takers they will be making a Tahoe SS in the near future? I can't help but see an SS badge on the new '07 Tahoe as it reminds me of my TBSS already in the monochromatic look. Some may scoff, but the TBSS's aren't exactly collecting dust, so there may be a market for them. Thoughts?

kinda makes you wonder what engine they would even put in it, considering the yukon denali (and i would assume escalade also) are getting a new 385hp 6.2L v8. maybe the ls2 w/ the supercharger? :drool:

Difference being, one of the two is pretty darn quick, the other won't be.

I think the Tahoe is better off left with the LTZ, SS-esque appearance package. It won't be fast or handle well no matter what you do to it.

There is a Tahoe SS... well not really but you can get it with the Joe Gibbs Performance package... Check it out...

I was watching trucks over the weekend.They had a Joe Gibbs silverado on.
It had I believe the supercharged 5.3L.....made the same power as the SSS but the show mentioned the joe gibbs is more of a match for the ford lightening.
It was nice would take it over the SSS anyday.
You could get it in a manuel or automatic,thats the best part.

Actually, I think it was only a 4.8!

I wish that show would have been an hour long, and included spots for the Lil Red Express, 454SS, original Lightening and the Syclone/Typhoon - rather than just mentioning them.

If you will go to Joe Gibbs website and click on his speedshop accessories
you will see a pic of a 2006 TB SS on the Rack....... Hopefully he will have one of his performance packages available for the almighty TB SS:thumbsup:

In 2002 they released the Tahoe SS concept...

Along with the Silverado SS set for production, and the Trailblazer SS grossly scheduled as a 2006 model.

Really all it is here is a lowered Tahoe with some 20's, a SS bumper inspired by the Silverado's, and a black painted bumper much like a Z71. Performance only boasted 345hp.

There were no real specifics on whether the Tahoe SS would be a thought for production, but the more I think of it, the more I doubt it. It's really unnecessary, though some different "sport appearance" package would be nice for future models.

I'm sure someone out there will post the pic of the SS concepts: Silverado, Trailblazer, and Tahoe, all lined up
