Im about to hit 60k miles on my 02 LS and was wondering when things like the battery, brakes, and shocks are being replaced.

I know these kind of things vary, but I wanted to get a little input here.

Batteries USUALLY last around 6 years. I would replace it no matter what around 100,000 miles.

The rest depend on too many things. Brakes depends on useage, driving habits, towing or not, etc. Warped front rotors have been a problem with some members. The front brakes on my Grand Prix lasted 75,000 miles. 60k is very good life for a truck's front brakes. The rears usually last into 6 digit territory.

Shocks definitely depend on driving habits, road conditions, etc. My Pontiac's was still going strong. If the vehicle starts to feel more loose than when you bought it, I wouild consider replacing the shocks. Lots of options available for that.

I'm sorry I really couldn't give you this component wears out in around 75,000 miles statement becuase there are too many variables.

I'm on my second battery in my '03 Envoy because of a battery fluid leak at one of the terminals. Watch this area closely, and I know it is hard to do with the cover that is on it. Had it leaked more it would have done some damage.

Also, the stabilizer bar end links have been going bad on a lot of TB & Envoys. Understand Moog makes good replacement parts with grease fittings. And the front stabilizer bushings also depart early.

When I hit large bumps in my truck something squeaks. This usually happens at slow speeds especially when driving off road (by this i mean in my yard, no bushwacking with this for sure).

Is this squeak the shocks or is it something else?

My truck has just over 94,000 miles on it btw.

This was a common issue on earlier models. I can't remember what it was exactly. The search should be able to find it. I think it was under the suspension part of the forum.

94,000 miles might be bad struts/shocks also.

Im not worried about it really...i am not going to spend money on something that is a minor annoyance that hardly ever occurs. Plus with 94,000 miles i dont really expect the TB to last a whole lot longer.
