Has anyone looked into powder coating or having their wheels done in a comp gray? I'm considering it on mine and if there are any photoshop masters that would like to try it on a silver SS I'd love to see it.

Shoot me your email and I'll try to send a pic over the weekend. I had a buddy do mine in grey on my silver truck...

I think those wheels would look better on a darker truck. blue or red perhaps

I prefer the stock wheels... but that is my personal opinion.
I still love that red.

Thanks Dacomputernerd.
Eh, That looks better than I thought it would, but I'm still not positive if that's what I'm going to do.

I just wish the wheels were chrome...they did a terrible job polishing these things. That's why I started thinking about getting them powder coated another color. We'll see....

That's exactly what I was thinking after seeing those pictures.
Does anyone know for sure if the SS rims can be chromed?

One of the guys chromed his stock 17". I think the SS rims are the same type of aluminim so I guess you can chrome them :undecided

There's a couple of places that do this sort of work. The only issue is one of them has a terrible reputation while the other does good work. I just can't remember which one was the good one :worried:
I'll check around and see if I can find the info.

You do realize that Blue paint pigment is lighter (and nicer obviously  ) than Black paint pigment. Therefore, a Blue SS will be faster since it's about 50-60lbs lighter  :dielaugh:

It is accepted that BLUE is the fastest colour and has now been scientifically proven (see previous post)
