Let's say I just want to get an appropriate intake and exhaust and whatever else I need to get better gas mileage.

What would be a good route to take?

We just bought our TB EXT today and I am thinking I would like to get the most gas mileage possible. Intake, exhaust, pcm tuning...will these things see any decent results as far as MPG goes?

I also read on here (somewhere, can't find it now) that when sending in the PCM you might want to have them disable DOD. Is this really something a person would want to do?

:thx

DOD suks some time only work at 60 to 65 MPH na dif you come to bridge it will engage the disengage these cars cant go on 4 cylinder all time even if your at idle or in town DOD work after the look up if you stoped its V8 when u start up your car its V8 and its saving only 8% or tanks is 80 liter thats mean 6 liter

intake with headers would give 1-2 mpg with good tune and its depend,s on alot of things

If you want to mod up your TV, by all means go ahead. But, there are SEVERAL ways to increase mileage by 1-2 mpg for FREE. I'm not sure what headers, a tune, and an intake would cost you, but with labor I'll bet it's up in the 2-3,000 dollar range. Two or three grand to get 1-2 mpgs? You won't be able to drive the vehicle for as many years as it would take you to recoup those expenditures at 1-2 mpgs.

You can learn to ease the throttle a little, combine some trips, and find your sweet spot on the freeway for FREE, and see gains IN EXCESS of 1-2 mpgs.

:iagree: Plus keep tires properly inflated and ballanced .. if you need a front end alignment, get it as well.
