I need some help here y'all. Yesterday I went to get in my TB and ran into some problems. My remote (keyless entry) would not work to unlock my drivers door. When I got in the car, the entire panel of buttons on the drivers door was dead (window controls, door locks, etc.) I drove for a couple minutes and it started working again, and stayed working all day. Now this morning when I went out to the car again, the same problem is happening, but it has not come back on like it did yesterday. Anybody got any ideas? I didn't know whether it might be a loose connection, or broken wire. Possibly the DDM going bad? I don't know how to fix this, help please!

I also just noticed another additional problem to go along with this...I know the radio and interior electronics normally stay on for about 10 minutes after you shut off the key, and before you open a door. This function is not currently working.

I've got the exact same problem but on the passenger side. Passenger power seat doesn't work either. Haven't had the time to get it looked at yet.

Just checkin back to see if anybody can help with this problem...The function of the window/lock cluster keeps going in and out every day. I tried unplugging the harness at the door hinge and cleaning it out, but it didn't seem to work. I know I saw a TSB written on this problem somewhere, but I haven't figured out how to access the information contained in it. If there is a TSB on it, it must be a fairly common problem.

Could be the +12 to the door module has gone out, or the data bus back to the body control module. If you can catch it in the act of working, and it's an intermittent open wire, then start wiggling parts of the harness until it stops working. Then you have an idea where to look closer. Wires that break inside the insulation are notoriously hard to find.

The 10 minute timer for power is called "retained power" and it's under the control of the body control computer. Let's hope it's not an internal problem since a dealer or a GM aftermarket specialist needs to reflash those after replacement. If you have a friendly local TB owner, you could just start swapping parts like the door control module and see if the symptoms change.

If the RAP doesn't work, you probably need a door latch. You really should just take it to the dealership to get it properly diagnosed because there's no real way to know for sure without checking the truck out.

Welp, fyi... last night I borrowed a ddm out of a friend's '02 trailblazer, plugged it into my wiring and everything worked like a charm. So it looks like I'll be lookin' to buy me a used ddm and hopefully that'll fix all my problems.

hey redneck rod, I was just wondering if you ever replaced your ddm and if it ended up working out for you. I am having the same problem with my wife's TB. It has just quit all together

Pry it up from above, since it's attached to the switches. Remove electrical connectors. Reverse process to reinstall.

Will probably need to be reprogrammed to match your truck's configuration. And good luck getting a new one, last I checked they're still on super triple top secret back order.
