This hasn't been too much of an inconvenience to me but I am curious. On about five occasions in the past few months my rear windshield wiper has swiped once and then gone back to its off position. I am 100% sure I did not accidentally hit the knob or hit the rear wiper wash, nor were the front wipers on at all. My key chain doesn't come close to the button either. There doesn't seem to be any sort of reason (rain or temp) or action (didn't just turn the radio on, or go over a bump or brake hard) that might cause a glitch to act up. I'm just mystified as to why this would happen....anyone know anything about this????

Thanks guys!

I'm not sure, I have never had the happen.

Every once in awhile when I turn the knob to 1 it doesn't kick on, I have to turn it back to off then on again for it to work....not that big of a deal to me either.

funny story... when i was little my mom had a van with a rear window wiper. well she worked out at the FAA and took me to daycare out there. anytime we got near one of the radio towers on base the wiper would start. when we passed, it would stop. strangest thing.

I think those Gremlins moved to Ontario Canada cause I'm having the same weird problem as Neil. Nobody else has had this problem??? Again no big deal, but I must admit that it scared the hell out of me the one time. Thought someone hit the truck but I was all alone.

I have had a few "issues" w/ my rear wiper similar to yours, but once i turn it back off and on again, the problem goes away.....it's a weird problem that I just decided to live with....sucky TB electrical system.

Have you upgraded to the '07 wiper arm? Solved ALL the same issues w/ mine getting stuck below the glass, etc. It's a nice fix to a problem that should NOT have taken GM 5 years to figure out how to fix. :hissy:
