ok so im still waiting for my truck to come in and i got a idea. Let me run this by you guys

ok id ditch the stock cat back and get a custom 3 inch cat back made, but where the rear resonator is now id put the muffler. a 5x8 magnaflow 20 inch overall lenth. Id be using new 3 inch piping all the way to the tip. None of the stock piping would be used.

It should fit back there and wont it create less resonation inside the cab since the muffler is all the way to the back??

BTW- im looking at the stock resonator at the dealer looks like its about 20 inches long. Id just weld a 3 inch tip straight to the muffler. below is a drawing of what im thinking. Here is the link to the muffler im thinking

You may get the dreaded drone inside the cabin with only the muff and no resonator....BUT...someone has to be the first one to try it on the SS and see how it sounds. :undecided

im thinking if the muffler is in the back of the truck it will create less drone because it wont be right under the truck. also the magnaflow isnt bad on drone.

ill just put the stainless steel muffler on with the tip welded right to the end of the muffler. I think it can work out like that.
