I've got an 02' Envoy with the 4.2L straight 6. The indicator light for 2wd often blinks when I start the vehicle or goes out all together. Is this the transfer case control module acting up or is this something else? It still drives fine but I haven't attempted to shift into 4wd.

I've read that you can disconnect the battery for 30 minutes and these might reset the module is that true? Is there a fuse that can be pulled out and re-inserted to reset it?

I don't want to have to go to the dealer to fix this problem. I going to be ordering a module to fix my automatic climate control this weekend and will fix that myself. I might as will fix the 2wd blinking problem at the same time.

Thanks in advance.

I believe it may be a loose / blown fuse. check if theres a transfer case fuse and / or 4wd module fuse. there was two on my 04 tahoe which had similar problem. not sure about these trailvoys.:m2:

it should blink if you have it in reverse and then go solid once you put it in drive
