what do you guys recommend is the best led to mount on my side mirrors? and how has anyone mounted theirs? ie: wire it, remove mirror, etc.

I was originally thinking of this as well. I like the mirrorbeam covers they make for the Impalas and Crown Vics, and was really hoping they made ones for the TB but I have yet to find any
I have seen the black rubber gromets that you can use to attach LED's or strobes to the outside of a mirror, but honestly, I personally think they come out looking like an afterthought, and that would bother me.
I toyed around with the idea of strobe tubes in the mirror turn signals, but the tubes (Whelen Hide-a-Way) are too deep to fit :(.

Andyman- try the lin-3 or tir-3's by whelen, good prices for quite a light. check the mods section for installing mirror turn signals. that should help you with a lot of working with the mirror
Silver- No one makes mirror beams for the tb. Do you know anyone who is good with fiberglass? I think that making the yourself would be your best bet.

fiberglassing might make it look good, other than that I would look for the most shallow mounted LEDs i can. I thought about doing mirror light, but i can't seem to come up with an idea i like
