Fuel Line Recall - Envoy

Saw the post for the Rainer fuel line recall, I got mine today for the Envoy XUV. Must be we all will get one if we live in the "rust belt". 10 years 120K miles not bad.

Must be GM wants to avoid fires....o, i forgot in GM we used to call them a "thermal event" never "fire".!!

I just recieved my notice letter in the mail today...I don't smell fuel yet, BUT, I'm keeping this letter/reimbursement claim form in a safe spot where I can retrieve it if necessary...I am surprised that GM doesn't include most salt-water coastal states all over where corrosion is still pretty bad ,Hmmmmm....

Got mine yesterday. Being an Ohio vehicle, I'm going to stick it in my glovebox and keep an eye and nose on the problem.

You may not even get a letter from GM...I'm not trying to be an antagonist here, but according to the state address you give at the top near your avatar, Virginia is not on the list of states outlined in the letter...It does list West Virginia, as well as a few adjacent states to Virginia...My suggestion is if a problem related to this letter arises, you can tell GM that you actually operate your vehicle in those states("corrosion areas") that are on the list... As the letter says "operated" in those specified states, NOT purchased in them...It's just an idea...

Got my letter yesterday and filled out reimbursement paperwork for the $812.97 that I spent last March. This will be a nice Christmas present from GM if they actually come through. Best part is I still have 4 years and 30,000 miles of warranty coverage should it go bad again. The way I figure, two more Syracuse winters and it'll be time to replace again on GM's dime although the problem shouldn't happen in the first place. It is a very poor design.

Russ, I thought the area included the mid atlantic? Surley if DC is included, northern VA. would be too.

Also I read the DOT ODI and it includes 20 states in the salt belt

Here is the letter I received. It looks like it's just for the areas listed and they change the year model accordingly.
