On our '02 Envoy, the memory settings included the DIC stuff, door lock and unlock, Imperial/Metric, etc. On the TB/SS it doesn't seem to work that way.
Anyone else notice that?

All the above mentioned functions are available on my DIC... :dielaugh:
What version of the SS do you have? Do you have the steering wheel controls?

It's an LT.
It has all the controls I mentioned in the DIC ... but they don't stay with the memory 1 & memory 2 settings. Whatever is set last stays for both. In the Envoy the DIC settings were memory 1 & 2 specific.
e.g.
I set the locks to "lock with speed" and "unlock in park". I have fob 1 memory 1, lock in my settings by holding the #1 button until I get the double beep.
My wife sets the locks to "lock in gear" and "unlock manual". She has fob 2 memory 2, locks her settings by holding the #2 button until she gets the double beep.
Next time I use the vehicle all the DIC settings are hers.
I haven't played with all the other stuff yet but the Envoy remembered fob specific DIC, radio & HVAC settings.

I have notice this myself
thinks it's supposed to be like that but the sales guy told me it would change all the settings like the radio stations and the DIC settings
I guess he was wrong
the past 4 cars I purchased I have known a hell of alot more about what i'm buying than the sales person.

I think it depends on what action initiates the memory function. If you have programmed different settings for each ignition key (fob), the memory will default to the settings of the key fob used to unlock the doors. Ex., if you unlocked the doors with key fob 1, all settings will go back to what was programmed for key fob 1. This can be cancelled out just by pushing the "2" memory button on the driver's door.
Have u guyz have the problem when ur dic changes ur side mirror each time to a different location each time in use or turn on

there is a bulletin for the mirrors not returning to memory position for 02-03 Trailblazer, Envoy, Bravada. The fix is a door module calibration update which may or may not repair the issue. I have seen vehicles require the mirror motors more often than anything to actually fix the problem.
The bulletin number is 02-08-64-021.

And I recall it being a software upgrade? Hmmmmmmmm, now I don't know. I'd take it back to Rydell since they fixed that one problem for you. Let me know if they try to blame it on your aftermarket stereo. :D

bshimkusjr,
Where did you find that bulletin at? I am having that exact issue, and it is driving me nuts.

Are you pressing the desired memory setting first and then setting the DIC options?
