Calendar Photos

Anyone who wants to have thier Chevy Trailblazer or GMC Envoy appear in the group buy custom made calendar should post the photo in this thread.

Remember, nothing bigger that 800x600 for posting, but have the larger original on hand in case your truck gets picked.

Once we get 20 - 30 photos posted, I'll add a poll to the thread so we all can vote.

So clean up those Trailblazers & Envoys, Shine up your tires, park it in front of a good background, and take some digi pictures. :D

Just an suggestion. Most people blur out the license plate in thier photos. Some even hack it up poorly with MS paint / Adobe. :undecided

It would be best to take off your plate for the calendar photos. :m2:

Very true; good suggestion. I bought a plate off eBay with the "GMC" logo on it, I'll probably just put that on in place of the actual one (not that I care if people see my plate, and my entry will probably be a frontal view anyway). :)

How do you go about resizing a picture once it is on your computer?

My camera is a 5.1 megapixel sony and the picures are nearly 2mb.

You need software...Any software come with that camera??? If not, you can always go to download.com and find an image editor. Some are freeware and some will give you a trial. I use Adobe PhotoShop 6.0. (an older version, but I'm used to it.)
Or you could always email them over to me and I'll do it for you. :)

We should have all the photos submitted and picked by the end of September. (Plenty of time for ya) October will be the money collection month. Then I'll have them made and mailed out to you all before Christmas.

Just a thought, but you might try getting one so that the reflector in your turn signal isn't causing glare. It makes the whole frame seem blurry. Nice truck though!! :m2:

I wanted to include 2 stockers, so i included jimmyjam and COAIRMX. Right now we are at 12 i think. Still need at least one more, but if we go over 13 vehicles, then we'll have to vote it down to 13 so i cannot say if any one vehicle will make it in for sure. :cool:

Hrmm... Well I'm sorry to say but I disagree with this tactic. It doesn't make for a fair shake IMO. These folks should be putting their trucks in for the bidding on their own, not just because they're in the gallery. :m2:

To be "fair" to everyone and stick by the way I initially said we were going to pick and vote on the photos, any member who has asked me to take a photo from their gallery will have to post their photo in this thread themselves.

If you would like to have your vehicle displayed for a certain month, please PM me, BUT is on a first come, first serve basis.

8-31-05 is the deadline to get your photo submitted via this thread.

Once we have voted for the top 13 vehicles, we'll have to vote for the cover spot.

I installed a mod to the forum that automatically resizes images that people post when they are wider than the limit I set (560px) so it doesn't blow out the tables and cause the horizontal scrolling. I only cropped out the date stamp that was on ENVOY2LOW43's image and the forum mod did the rest. I checked your photos in the gallery, they don't have any date stamp, you just have to insert the image into your post.

You can use the button in the editor. Then a pop-up will appear, you just enter the url to the image and your done.

Or you can do it manually by putting the images url between the img tags like this: http://www.trailvoy.com/path/to/images.jpg (NO SPACES, DONE JUST FOR EXAMPLE)

Well fellas I finally got around to taking some pictures. I took the pictures on the 5mp setting on my camera but I think my uploading service (photobucket) reduced the size. Anyways here they are.

Well I have three pictures. Two of them I photoshopped, and the other was a normal picture. I think the two are pretty neat maybe they can be entered into the calendar. So here it is, this is my submission. I would prefer to used the neat effects rather than the normal picture. But it is your choice!

I can see someone editing their licsense plate or something small like that...but photoshopping 22's on to a TB/Envoy for the calender would be getting alittle out of hand. I was just wanting the mud off of the the tires and my shadow removed...i dont think that is anything to worry about considering its not changing the vehicle or the background

Please have a 1024 x 768 or large picture of your truck saved on your computer's hard drive in case your truck gets picked for the calendar.

1600 x 1200 is recommended. The larger the better. The calendars will look much better with high res photos.

Also, I have been searching around for the best price. We are now looking at $22.50 shipped instead of the $25+.

Please have a 1024 x 768 or larger picture of your truck saved on your computer's hard drive in case your truck gets picked for the calendar.

1600 x 1200 is recommended. The larger the better. The calendars will look much better with high res photos.

Also, Tommy has been searching around for the best price. We are now looking at $22.50 shipped instead of the $25+.
