I can't remember what the Explorers looks like, but I bought my boards that look OEM from the dealer for around $300 I think.

Yeah really. There's at least half a dozen styles on there you could get. :m2:

It depends what you want to do with your truck... I like the tubular ones on trucks that are going to be lifted, just because it has that 'off road hardcore' look, whereas a stock or lowered height truck I think looks better with boards.

Personally, I'm thrilled with the '05 Buick Ranier OEM running boards I have on my truck:

That chrome strip on the side of the board kind of makes it the best of both worlds

Thanks, haha, but that isn't what it looks like anymore. That was back when my only mod was the running boards. Now it looks like this:

http://www.hahn-on-the.net/pictures/envoy/denalification/IMG_0041.JPG

Exterior appearance mods list:

-'05 Buick Ranier OEM Running Boards
-OEM Molded Rear Splash Guards
-Removed Roof Rack
-AutoVentShade VentVisors
-AutoVentShade Bugflector II
-'05 GMC Envoy OEM Denali Grille
-Antenna Specialists 12" Mast "Thru-Glass" XM Satellite Radio Antenna
-Michigan State University vinyl decal on rear hatch glass

Only other mods for the outside I have planned are a chrome/stainless steel exhaust tip, OEM Envoy Denali side moldings (retaining, but relocating, the "Envoy" badging on the doors), adding the turn signals in the mirrors, maybe tint the front side windows, and either the OEM 17" Polished wheels or a set of tasteful 20" chrome wheels. If I go with 20s, I'll probably do a drop kit, otherwise probably leave it at stock height.

I don't believe in going too far with mods, so I'm just sticking to simple stuff that I know will look good.

As for the inside and engine compartment, well that's another thread. I've got bigger plans for that, too. :D

Still nice tho....I also don't like trucks that look like Christmas Trees :D . On my Tb I haven't done anything to the exterior but I have added a Subwoofer (kept original HU), 300 watts amp, capacitor, CD Changer (to play MP3 cd's) and my latest addition is a 10.4" LCD Drop down with a DVD player that has TV Tuner built in, set of head phones. My 2 kids enjoy watching movies in the truck since it was installed. As for the engine compartment all I have added is a drop in K&N filter.
My future mods (hopefully in the near future)will be:
-Grille inserts
-Swap the shifter with a 2005
-A new yellow top Optima battery.
-Bugflector II

I will post pictures of my truck as soon as I have all this installed.

I prefer the nerf bars. I did some research and found them from the manufacturer that makes and sells them to the companies. Here's the link:

I bought these and can honestly say that they are quality stainless steel parts!

yeah i've gotten a few things from popularlink.com. I got my tail guards and grill guard there. Grill guard fit perfect, no problems. The tail guards i had to play with for a good hour to get them on perfect. It's like they just have some retard welding on L brackets to the actual guard part, so i had to rebend them to fit. But still worth it.

ONKI makes a NERF BOARD stainless steel tube that is flat across the entire top. I think it looks good on a Tahoe but it looks kind thick on a TB/Envoy.
