Summer 08 turned Winter 08/09

Ok, so I had this crazy idea...
My family has a pretty good sized cabin on 50+ acres up in the mountains surrounding Wenatchee. I live North of Seattle and it usually takes me about 3 hours going on highway 2. Anyway, I was thinking that maybe we all meet in Wenatchee and then drive up to my cabin for a couple days. There are 2 pinball machines, 2 skee ball machines, an air hockey table, 4 ATV's, 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, big flat screen TV and projector, and lots of running around room. I know that you can go up I-90 adn then across Blewitt Pass or take highway 2 over Stevens Pass, but either way, it would be a ton of fun. I am sure in January there will be lots of snow to play in as well.....thoughts?

Dude Id be down! Sounds like a sweet time, plus you lifted guys could do some snow drifting (Ill have to sit that out in my TB though :( ). My plans for January are: Friday- ski, Satuday- ski, Sunday- some homework then wait for friday all week.

Ive always wanted to ride an ATV, and Im pretty sure I could wrangle Craig (flyingfischer5) into coming along with me as we're both in Spokane.

Keep us updated for sure man, and start throwing dates out!

Sign me up. My schedule is empty for January except my b-day. So pretty much any weekend would work for me. Hopefully this works out if not we better have a meet this summer for us NW people.

That works for me, cant do anything before that though as Ill just be getting back to school the previous weekend and before that Im busy skiing over break. Could do the 31 Jan to 1st of Feb too, no plans either weekend so Im easy for scheduling.

Seriously though, this could be a really good time for all of us to meet up and hang out for a day or two!:thumbsup:

i am only in town every other weekend as my girlfriend lives in Canada, so I am in town the 24th and 25th and then every other weekend. So if that weekend works for most people why don't we plan on that. I will look into what location works best to meet in wenatchee, maybe we should actually meet in Leavenworth (it is smaller). Again, I am open to other weekends with that in mind!

Ok, so lets start a list so I know what to expect and we can assign food for people to bring.

Why don't we meet at the McDonalds in Leavenworth at noon on Saturday the 24th. Those that want to spend the night can but do not have to. Also, please not if kids or significant others are planning on attending. I am not sure if mine are coming yet. There are 3 beds in their own bedrooms, and 4 beds (bunk beds) in one bedroom. We also have 2 full sized leather lazy boy couches and 2 love seats as wella s a loft that plenty of people could sleep on.

If you want to come out to Schweitzer in Idaho then Id definitely meet up with ya, bought a pass there so thats pretty much where Im staying (unless there's a dump then its off to Lookout Pass on the ID/MT border).

And Im planning on going, Craig and I met up a few days ago and we are both planning on caravaning over...

Im not sure what Ill end up doing, the drive from Spokane to Leavenworth is google mapped at 3.5hrs each way so its a doable roundtrip drive in a day. I dont know exactly when everyone wants to meet up in Leavenworth (how far away is your cabin from town?) but maybe at like 11 or 12? That way we can hang out for a few hours in town or head out to your cabin.

But I hate to say it but if its only going to be Craig and I plus Brandon Im not sure Ill go, probably end up driving back to Seattle for the weekend instead. But I might drive to Seattle from Leavenworth saturday night otherwise it'll be back to Spokane.

So more people, please jump in and commit to this! It should be absolutely sick but we need at least 2 more people for me to be 100% in!

Again, if there is a time that will work better for everyone then lets plan for that. Unless we get more (I think at least 2 more is a good idea), then we should bag it. :( It would be a ton of fun, but it is a bit of a drive and you'll want to stay for at least 7 or 8 hours to make it worth it!

No offense to the couple that had signed up, but it would not be worth getting the roads plowed and what not for a few of us to go. So I will put a deadline on this until tomorrow night at 9pm.

Sounds good man, and I dont take offense to this at all. I think Im going to pick a weekend in June or July here soon and get all the details set up so people have time to make travel arrangements with a lot of advance. Id be down for a meet pretty much anytime but as you said, its not worth the time and $$ for Craig and me to drive out.

I Feel super bad but i deffinately wont be able to make it. Im in the military and they like to sneek things up on us. The next planned one i will take leave for so that way i will be there for sure. Maybe memorial day or something. We always meet up at mosses lake and that would be a good middle point for anyone coming from west or east. There is a great camp site etc. there. Im usually down for anything so keep me posted on whats up and comming

I can probably do moses lake, had a boat meet there 2 summers ago. Always passing through there from Seattle to Spokane/Coeur d'Alene where the cabin's at.



And this means that there is officially NO MEET THIS WEEKEND IN LEAVENWORTH, WA. As much as it bums me out, this is now 2 failed meet attempts, but its just not worth it. Im working on a summer meet in Seattle, probably have a bbq at a local park and get a bunch of guys to come out from all of the NW (and hopefully one member from So Cal).

Im trying to work on the admins to give me the permissions to sticky and de-sticky threads so I can de-sticky this one and setup a new thread for the Summer 09 meet that is going to be huge. Do or die, it will be BIG to make up for the FAILs that have been these last 2. I hate it probably more than anyone on here, so Im working even harder to make sure the Summer 09 one is awesome.
