View Full Version : Weird problem with E-Brake

Sometimes when I pull my e-brake when parking a tone sounds, and sometimes it doesn't sound. Does anyone know what this sound is? I would rather have it sound every time rather than just once in a while.

Mine does this too. Not really a problem, It is a reminder that the brake is on. If you put it in park and quickly pull up the e-brake you get the tone. If you do it slower no tone. Put the truck in gear with the e-brake on and you get a tone. I do in mine.

Sounds like the in gear tone... just takes a second or two to get it off... just a safety precaution...

Thanks. I assumed that is what it was, just wasn't sure if there was acutally a "Technical" term or reason for it, and wanted to make sure that it didn't happen every time was ok. Thanks for the replies.
