Jamie, did you have the dealer install the mudguards, or did you get them afterward ? Just wondering if you found a cheaper place to get them rather than the dealer. Thanks

The exhaust tip is a Gibson Stainless Steel Slash cut 3.5" outlet. Didn't want to replace the whole exhaust system just yet but wanted to get rid of that ugly turn down pipe.

As far as the mudflaps go, no, I would never buy any accessories from the stealerships. I work at a company that sells aftermarket accessories for trucks & SUV's. We also supply the stealerships with Genuine GM Accessories also. Basically, I get almost all of my accessories through my work at a huge discounted price.

So for us regular guys, where would be the best place to pick up these GM specific mudguards?

The best place that I know of is http://www.gmpartsdirect.com/
They do have discounted prices but watch out for their S&H. It can be pretty high sometimes.

Excellent. I was looking to do something similar since I wanted a better look without the $$$ of buying an entire borla or corsa kit. Just didn't know what would fit or look good. That looks like it'd be awesome.
How did you remove the turn-down? Just a sawzall or something? That was the other part I didn't know what I'd do about. Maybe go to a muffler shop and have them cut it off with a plasma cutter or something....

Cut the turn down off with a manual hacksaw, wanted to have a nice straight cut, after that filed it down to make it nice and smooth, then spray painted it with some anti-rust paint. The tip I ended up using was a 2.75" inlet with a 3.5" outlet that was 12" long, fits perfect.
