I am wanting to install a pioneer cd player (single din) in my 2005 TB. I currently have it installed in my 1997 ford ranger my best buy. Will the factory hardware directly plugin to this unit or do I need to purchase an adapter? I am sure the adapter i have in the ranger wont work so where can I purchase one?

I was also looking at this din..seems like a good buy, thoughts?

Go to www.crutchfield.com, Go to automotive pick out the deck you want and they will ask for auto make and model. They also usually give th needed mounting brackets and faceplates free!!!!

I'm pretty sure you still need that harness, as the plugs all need to match up.

And, you'll love this, but if you want to retain your door chimes, you'll need to buy this too -->http://www.discountcarstereo.com/detail.aspx?ID=277

If you don't want to pay those prices, I suggest checking on the almighty eBay.

:eek:True you will have to spend about $40.00 for the equipment to keep your door chimes; as I have always despised them and really regarded them as only needed by Fedex and UPS drivers I opted out! As for Crutchfield, if you buy there, everything you need to make your stereo work is included (as per instructions on their shopping page), and in every case I could never find one on ebay that could beat their price or included harness or faceplates! Crutchfield includes everything except the chimes! Go there, they ask you if you have Bose , OnStar, Factory, whatever; when you tell them what you have, they tell you what you need!!!!!! TADA! You can wire into the cigarette lighter (auxillary power).
But your best bet is to go to www.crutchfield.com and buy the wiring harness adapter for your specific cd player. Usually around $30. Or call them @ 1-800-955-9091. Do it right the first time and you will never regret it! See previous post.

dont waste your money on shipping for that din adapter... i got the same exact thing from wal mart for 12 bucks, and the antenna adapter (which you need) for 8
