Has anyone put strobes in an envoy? I found a great deal for the whole package on ebay.

No?
Well anyway i couldn't resist but to bid on a 120 watt 6 head strobe kit. And I got it all for $117.00! so I'll either find somehow to put it in the envoy or sell it back on eBay.
I so wish I still had my Trailblazer :sadcry::sadcry:

Ya tail lights will be easy. I've already taken apart my headlights so that will be simple too. I just wonder how it will look.

I bet it will look bright. And Strobey :dielaugh:

Should be no different than putting them in a TB I wouldn't think.

120 watts?

that seems a little excessive no???

bright and strobey sounds good to me......

just post pics ans vids of wher you put everything, if you go with rear turns and back up lights, be careful about the heat generation fo a 120 watt system

does it really generate that much heat?
:bonk: didnt think about that.

Yes they do generate a good bit of heat. If you look at some of the 90 watt sets that are run on a very regular basis and stay on for a little while at a time, the plastic will warp. This is also depends on where you put them and the plastic and such that is around them. Just a bit of a thought for you since you have a higher watt and will be generating some heat... Use a thin piece of sheet metal to re-enforce things and to possibly hold the shape of the plastic around the strobe.

Either way post up some pics and def some videos when you get them done.

Well they came in the mail! One whole day early :woot:
Now just where to put them..
I'm thinking:
1 in each rear
1 in each Fogs
1 in each corner light??

that'll look good....the only thing i would be worried abut would be melting the taillight housing.....

but i don't know how much heat would be generated

I dont know what the spacing is like in the voy taillights to say whether or not it would be a problem. Fog lights should be ok, not a whole lot of plastic that I know of with them. and the corners again I dont know because I have a TB...

But the advice for that is keep them as far back from plastic as possible or protect the plastic if possible.

Decided to go out an take a video now.
The camera couldn't pick up the strobes fast enough.

Looks great! Were they hard to put in the headlights? I heard there's a plastic cover over the bottom of the lights and you needed it to cut that out to install the strobe. Did you have that issue on the Envoy?

Good work!

I have a 4 head of sho-me strobe in my TB. Only have them in my turn signals right now and need to get 2 more bulbs and wires for the rear of the truck. Also been thinking of a arrowstick for the real window. My Vector lightbar would look sweet on the roof only there isn't enuf room with the rack up there.
