Has anyone had any problems with their 4X4 unit leaking. Mine has been removed 2X's for the case leaking were it is put together. Each time at different dealerships. The second time it was removed the tech said it was done wrong the first time, and silicone sealer was used instead of the required anerobic sealer. Also he said the bearings and races were pitted and worn out. The last repair was 35,000mi. Now I have 37.000mi. This morning I notice a big spot on the driveway, and it has started leaking again. Anyone had any problems with defective cases etc? Think GM will stand behind It?
thanks for any response. V

In the past, if I had repair rework done on something within 12months/12K miles of when it was done, they would cover the rework, even if the standard warranty was already past.

You may have to discuss it with the service manager if they give you a hard time.
