Shifter button

Is it normal for the button to have resistance as you pull from park down to first gear? As you pull down on the shifter, the button pushes back out, it's also hard to get it to light up first gear on the dash. Is the cable out of adjustment? The truck also has a vibration when accelerating slowly from a coast (only when in "D" no other gears), could this be related to the cable?

I have noticed that as I pull the shifter from P to 1, the button can't be depressed as far down...sorta like it's being pushed out as I get closer to 1. It's weird, but I have no trouble engaging 1st. I'm also not sure about your vibration...where is it coming from?? :undecided
