I've read the past forum about the oil light staying on for about 10 to 15 seconds after start. I've tried to reset it by pressing gas pedal down with just battery on 3 times in 5 seconds. Not working at all...Any suggestions? thanks!

No DIC, thanks for the info! I'll just shell out a few dollars to the dealer.

If they didn't perform the oil change, they might. Depends how good/bad the service dept. is. I know mine would charge me. :undecided

The same thing happened to me. The light came on when I was out of state, so I went to the closest Chevy dealer and told them that the other dealership's service dept forgot to reset it and they're out of state. The tech did it in under 30 secs, free of charge. Most dealerships only keep track of oil changes and other routine maintenance done by their dealership, so there was really no way for them to tell even if i had been lying...
