Went to a performance shop today in regards to cold air intakes. K&N i knew about, but they talked about air raid and volant, seems volant is better cause it is in a box, while others only use a U shape divider. of course volant is more expensive, so i m asking all the experts :hail: , what should i get for my 03 tblazer 4.2, thanks

I'd go with K&N!

I have the volant cai and have been very pleased with it. the reason I got it, it was in a box which does not draw hot air from the engine which will decrease performance, the others that have dividers will do the same when the hood is closed but just not as well i would either go with Volant or K&N

I had a K&N in my last car, I like it but my biggest complaint was the tube is plastic, I wish it was metal because it cracks over time. I haven't done the CAI just because I am hoping I can get a set-up with a metal tube. Make sure you check the connections when you install the system if not cracking occurs sooner...:hissy:

I got the ebay one that requires you to remove the resonator. Gas mileage went up .5km/L and it scares those ricers away :D

I have the Airaid on mine. There is a pic in my gallery. Most intakes are the same(other than price) I do like the way the Volant has a box though. It makes it look more stock.

I don't have a cai but reading all the feedback is a mixed response i guess it comes down to money.
