Dumb Brake Question

Okay, someone tell me what the item that looks like a lube fitting with a dust cover on it on the brake caliper is? It doesn't look like a normal lube fitting (doesn't have the ball seal)...but I could be wrong? I read a post about seized calipers, and was curious as to how one would diagnose this?? Any help appreciated...

That is for bleeding the brakes. It is a goesoutta not a goesinta.

:duh: I didn't think so....I ask because there was grease all over it....I assume a stupid technician somewhere did it. (shrugs)

That's why you need to learn how to do these things yourself!

Actually, throwing a glob of silicone brake grease on the bleed screw is a good thing. It helps keep the bleeder from rusting in place.
