 What the F^&k !!!! Here's an example of why I'm pissed , Chevy builds the fastest production SUV ever in their history and these aftermarket companies come out with a cold air kit for every other 06/07 truck but ours  . This is B.S. ! ! ! ! http://www.airaid.com/whats_new.asp

Probably because any CAI worth buying will REQUIRE a retune. Oddly enough ours will be out next week assuming people are ok with this.. ;)

:chillpill: Geesh the SS only came out within the past 6 months...us 4.2L owners have had this engine introduced to the market since 2002 in various applications.

Fastforward to 2006 and what do we have? CAI, catback exhaust, TB spacer (woo), and finally a custom tune that came out in sept of last year. No forced induction units, no header, not much of anything.

The 4.2 has potential its just that the aftermarket has pretty much ignored this engine. :(

So hang tough I'm sure there are going to be many new products available for the SS. :) Heck Mallett cars is supposed to do 100 or so SS's..SLP & Lingenfelter and others will be working on the SS as well. :)

I actually contacted Airaid about the SS, and they replied that it was in the works and should be available in the next month or two, keep watching the website.

And again, if they do anything worthwhile it wont work without a tune anyhow. Plus given thier current pricing it'll be the same price as ours anyhow ROFL!

Well our CAI tune will fix the fueling on our kit, we didnt really get any further into the K&N kit (there were some aspects we didnt particularly care for.) so I'm not sure how well it would work with our specific CAI tune.
