I'm want to cut the Factory muffler out and replace it with say a Flowmaster or any performance muffler. I plan on leaving the resonator in place. Are there any gains on performing this mod or is it a waste sice the resonator is still in place?

Any sound files on this tyep or setup or an idea on how it would sound, Im trying to stay away from the ricier tone.

Thanks

Nope, it is a waste unless you remove the resonator, i did only that and i gained some power with a sweet noise not high at all :D

I still have the stock muffler on but I cut my resonator off, .... You might NOT want to do that unless you want the Pi$$ed off bees in a can sound. (wanted to hear what sound it made)

I'm waiting for them to ship my flowmaster to replace the resonator and thinking about putting another flowmaster on to replace the muffler.

So with our TB/Voy's we have the cat, this big ass muffler and then a resonator? Correct? I only got to peek quickly under before I bought it.

Well for a family ride I don't want it as loud as a 40 series FM, but I don't like how it sounds like a ford tempo right now.

I almost want to try that magnaflow just b/c I can get it for $75 from a buddy.
