Wheel Bearing

Ended up replacing a front wheel bearing on the Rainier's left front last week. All seems well, but I'm a little concerned. Is it just me or are those things supposed to be done in pairs?

Is such a failure common? I ended up wading it through a flood last summer (Up to the door sills) and have started to wonder if that wasnt he cause of the failure... and thereby if we're not due for a ailure on the other side, shortly.

I also had my left front wheel bearing go bad right was fine so I did not change it, I figured if and when that one go's bad Ill change it, I have not had any problems,
