like whats wrong with them? sometimes my rear doors are harder to get shut, but i always just thought it was because they were never used.

the recall call is for rear door locks can corride, dealer is inspecting door latches, replacing if needed and installing thicker weater strips at rear doors
to keep corrisive de icing materil/salt out onl in areas where snow is a factor

Got it too.....Itsaid the rear side doors on these vehicles may not latch or may not unlatch properly due to corrosion caused by road splash, such as water and road salt.
Depending on the location of the corrision in the latch, the door may either be difficult to open from the inside or outside, or may bounce back when the door is swung shut from the outside.

It should take approx 1 hour for your dealer to conduct the recall and make the appropriate fix

it gets filthy inside the tailgate. I'm not sure how it is possible for that much gunk to get in there. and I live in florida where there is no such thing as de-icing salt

Is this a new recall, because I am having a hell of a time trying to keep my back doors weather stripping on, every day I have to re-seat it.

I have an 2002 Trailblazer LS aswell... However I dont have any kind of problems yet with my rear doors....

Should I go to my local dealer and get this fixed anyway to save future headaches?

And like somebody else stated, what is involved in getting this done....

Thanks.

I just called my dealership and they said I have no open recalls on my 02 Envoy.
Yesterday I was doing some spring cleaning to clean up all the salt & sand from the winter. I noticed a build up of salt on the inside of the right rear door. Maybe the notice just hasn't gone out to everyone yet?

Yeah, I got one too. Apparently due to corrosion, the rear doors on the EXT,s can fly open.... Since I live in Arizona, I'm not too worried about corrosion. :rotfl:
