265/70/17 should fit with no problems. Bigger than that I'm not sure about rubbing issues. I have stock 245/65/17 on my '04 EXT and there seems to be a lot of wheel well left for bigger tires.

I wouldn't go with 265/70R17 without wheel spacers. That's the size I run, and I have 1" billet wheel spacers on the front (1.5" in the back). There is slightly less than 1" between the tire and the upper control arm. Without spacers, you'll probably rub. :m2:

The Roadie agrees - except I have 1.5" spacers on front and rear in case I want to use cable chains. The problem isn't wheel well rubbing, although LT265/70-17s did hit the front and back of the well when turning. The problem is clearance to the upper control arm. Look closely, do the trigonometry before you get larger tires (diameter and tread width can be determined ahead of time) and see if the corner of the tire will hit the upper control arm.

Oh, and make sure to read the dozens and dozens of previous messages on this same subject, by searching on "upper control arm" or "tire size".
